The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir invites experienced choristers between 17 - 22 years of age to join the TMC for five performances (and associated rehearsals) over the 2010/2011 season. Three performances will be in the fall academic term and two in the spring.

Meet some of the 2009 Apprentices and Mentors
The TMC Apprentice Program gives young choristers the opportunity to sing great choral music at a standard of excellence unmatched across the country. Singers in this program will perform two concerts with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (Mahler's Symphony No. 2 and Janacek's Glagolitic Mass), Festival of Carols (a Christmas family program), a sacred music performance on Good Friday and Great Mass in C minor by Mozart.
Apprentice choristers are mentored by an adult TMC chorister, and are given 2 voice coaching sessions in each term (total of 4 sessions) by a qualified instructor associated with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. In addition, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir will cover the cost of joining the choir (a value of approximately $500), including:
TMC Apprentice choristers must commit to attending all performances on the TMC apprentice schedule, and 80% of rehearsals. All full and dress rehearsals must be attended.
