Christie Bates’ love of choral music is what brings her to the TMC Board, having spent a third of her life singing with wonderful organizations such as the Trinity College Chapel Choir at U of T, Hart House Chorus, St Thomas’s Church, Christ Church Cathedral in Montreal, and Selwyn College at Cambridge University. Her love of the arts inspired her to pursue a legal career that would have her working with those of a creative disposition, and she is now working as an intellectual property lawyer at one of Canada’s top national IP firms. Over the years, she has worked with numerous non-profits, including by acting as the Executive Director of one of Canada’s largest student-run legal clinics.
