Jennie Worden is a lifelong choral musician, and a communications professional working in the non-profit sector. Having sung with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir since 2011, and worked in the TMChoir office as the Marketing and Development Coordinator from 2013-2016, she is thrilled to be bringing her background in arts and nonprofit administration, communications, and community engagement to the role of Chorister Representative to the Board of Directors.
Currently, she holds the position of Communications and Program Manager with the Canadian Journalism Foundation, where she oversees all the Foundation’s communications and produces events that bring together journalists, businesspeople, and members of the interested public to discuss the role of the media in Canadian society and the ongoing challenges for media in the digital era. Prior to this, she served as the Executive Director of Orchestra Toronto. A versatile factotum, she is equally comfortable producing a performance, conducting a community meeting, or drafting a strategic plan.
She lives in East York, with her partner, and enjoys cycling, baking, dancing, and concocting and consuming fancy non-alcoholic beverages.
