Yasaman Nouri is a Toronto-based Iranian artist and arts administrator whose work spans theatre, aerial arts, dance, music, visual arts, and digital media. She holds a BA (Hons) in Theatre from York University, and her practice is rooted in a commitment to exploring the possibilities of visual expression.
As an artist, Yasaman is deeply passionate about storytelling, with her creations characterized by their interdisciplinary and immersive nature. Her artistic journey is grounded in devised theatre and theatrical design. In 2020, she founded Pomegranar Virtual Art Gallery, curating a surreal virtual space that connected people during a time of isolation. Through this and other work, she continually pushes the boundaries of how art can be experienced, often drawing inspiration from her Persian heritage and experiences as an immigrant.
As an arts administrator, Yasaman crafts compelling narratives, designs engaging visual content, and curates digital presences with a focus on community connection. She leads digital marketing initiatives to drive audience growth and retention, blending creativity with strategy to deepen engagement across platforms.
Her work reflects a dedication to both artistic innovation and building meaningful connections through the arts.
